Geocache Description:

Just off the Luggate-Cromwell Highway (State Highway 6) at the Lowburn Collie Dog Club.
It is on Crown Land so ignore the recent illegally locked gate and no camping sign.
You can also access the cache from the lake edge walking and cycling track

Perriam families have lived in the district for over 100 years and dog trials have been held at the Lowburn Collie Dog Club for nearly as long. Charlie Perriam founded "Charlie's Bar". Local legend recalls dog trial competitors used to repair to the Perriam owned Lowburn Hotel (before the Clutha Dam) for lunch but failed to find their way back for the afternoon events. So Charlie established a Cook House and bar at the Collie Dog grounds in an effort to keep the events on schedule. Charlie's son Bob took over the operation after Charlie's death.

Trust your GPS. You are headed for the back bar. "Patrons" will have their backs to the bar.

The cache is a 1 litre screw topped camo container containing the usual pencil, logbook, sharpener plus tradeable items.

You could follow the lakeside track and bike to Charlie's Bar from Cromwell.
