Egalement appelée Notre-Dame-de-Grace-du-Bout-des-Ponts, cette église a été construite en 1521 pour les besoins du faubourg. Exposée aux inondations, elle a subi de nombreux dommages au cours des siècles (comme lors de la crue de 1856 marquée à gauche de l'entrée).

Le long du Quai, sur le mur protégeant des crues de la Loire, on aperçoit des vides. Il s'agit d'espaces qui permettent de recevoir les batardeaux. En cas d'inondation, les fentes caractéristiques accueillent les planches. Le numéro et la lettre G ou D (rive droite ou gauche) permettent de remettre la bonne planche au bon endroit.

Also known as Notre-Dame-de-Grace-du-Bout-des-Ponts, this church was built in 1521 to meet the buburbs needs. Vulnerable to floading, it has suffered considerable dammage through the centuries (such as the flood of 1856, marked on the left of the entrance).

You can see gaps in the wall protecting against rises in water level alon quai of flooding, the characteristic slots are filled with planks, and the number and letter G or D (G for left bank, D for right bank) mean that the right plank can be put in the right slot.
