God Rewards Homer!
In episode 19 of season 16, random coincidences convince Homer that the rapture is imminent, so he calculates the exact time of the end of the world through numerology of random bible passages. He then proceeds to warn Springfield all about it.
More random happenings convince the townspeople that Homer's on to something, and they all follow him into the desert to await the big event ... which doesn't happen. Everyone decides that Homer is full of it, even his own family.
Then, Homer realizes that he made a simple math error! He recalculates and pinpoints the correct moment of the end ... but no one will listen. He goes to the desert alone, and is consequently the only human raptured up.
While sitting on the couch in heaven, watching TV, Homer finds the "Earth" channel, where he sees his family suffering in an unquenchable fire!
Homer asks God to save his family, but God says "No" ... so Homer proceeds to trash heaven, breaking everything and causing all kinds of mischief! Security apprehends Homer and brings him to God's office
Homer convinces God to turn back time (after all, Superman did it!) and all things were restored to normal.
