Walk and Myndy Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

merlinsquest: This geocache has now been archived. It was hugely popular but we have not been able to provide effective maintenance and sadly, unlikely to in the foreseeable future due to a house move. Thank you to all those who visited and left lovely comments. We do hope to return at some point and reactivate it.

Geocache Description:

A small white plastic round screw top container. Contains log book, pencil and sharpener and a few swaps. Also contains travel bug Circular Bell

Your starting point is through the kissing gate and onto the public footpath. Wear sensible footwear as the terrain can be soft underfoot especially on wet days. You might want to take a picnic for this one.

Right, there may be a few problems with the coordinates for this one. Read our log entry at the beginning for more accurate coordinates. The cache is not hidden in a corn field. It is in a fork where the trail leads to the left and the track leads to a barn. Look for a sign on a tree with the arrow pointing left. Beneath are many rocks and slabs. Check the hint for more info.

This is the fourth in the series of caches we hope to place on this wonderful part of the Hereford Trail. If you are on your way to this one then you will have already passed and/or found "The Haunted Bridge", "Beyond the Haunted Bridge" and "Swan Lake".

This cache takes you past "Swan Lake" and through the farm yard at the rear of the house. Follow the signs for the trail and towards two ponds (home to some Canada Geese) and surrounded by a horse paddock. You will now be at the rear of the Mynde. Keep walking. You see those trees in the distance? Thats where your heading.

The cache is about 1km further on from Swan Lake. When you reach it take a moment to look around and breath in the beauty of the Herefordshire countryside.
