The Cove Traditional Cache
02Bhkn: I returned to the site with a garden trowel and dug in the bank where Viejo and 321Kaboom described the cache location. I found an old animal burrow, but no cache. Archiving.

A rubbermaid (6x6x3) container hidden at 5900 feet elevation in the forest. Unless you use an ATV, the walk is about 20 minutes each way along a good trail but one which gets extremely muddy with rain or snow melt. There are some short steep grade changes, but suitable for all ages. Available all year except during infrequent snow accumulation.

The best approach is south on Fuller Road in Strawberry, beyond the paved portion to the gate, beyond which is private property. There are good spots to park there and hop onto shank's mare. Follow the fence on the National Forest side . When you are about 175 feet from ground zero, you'll need to leave the trail.
Pause and look around and you will see that you are, indeed, surrounded on 3 sides by Strawberry Mountain. You are in The Cove.
