A tribute to Mommy's Best Friend Sophie O'Grady. Sophie was a very active, neurotic, anxiety ridden Border Collie mix. This is where we'd come for a good run so she wouldn't get into so much trouble at home when we weren't there.
Mommy used to live just down the bottom of Cherry Street in the little white Cape and we used to get reports all the time of passerbys that would see Sophie O'Grady laying on the middle of the dining room table. Sophie and mommy used to come to this cemetery everyday and Sophie would bolt from the car and run all the way to the bottom of the hill and mommy would do a "Kooo Kooo Kooo" call and she would run all the way back at top speed. This dog laid across my body when I was sick with Lyme disease and refused food and water unless I got up and gave it to her, even with others willing, she would not leave my side. This dog was such an awesome dog and she is missed everyday and there will never ever be another like her.
