Geocache Description:

This puzzle is our first puzzle cache so we decided to start with an easy puzzle and cache. There are actually two parts to this puzzle. You must first fill in the grid and then use the numbers in the grid to find the coordinates to the cache. As the name implies, THIS IS NOT A SUDUKO. The cache itself is a P&G...

**CACHE IS NOT AT LISTED COORDINATES**

PART 1. THE GRID: (There is only one correct answer.) View the Image Gallery for the grid.
Each given number in the grid cell tells you how many numbers to group together to form one block.

RULES
1. Place numbers in all empty cells so that the puzzle grid becomes divided into Blocks of matching numbers indicated by the given number.
2. Each block is defined as cells above, under, right and/or left (not diagonal) of the given number, so there should always be three 3's together (above, under, right and/or left), two 2's beside each other, four 4’s together, etc.
3. Blocks with the same number are not allowed to touch. If they touch, they form a group with a larger number and this group would be incorrect (i.e., two blocks of 4 touching would then become one block of 8).

PART 2. THE COORDS: Once your grid is filled correctly, use the formula below to find the coordinates to the cache. Row numbers are shown in blue on left and column headings are shown in red across the top of the grid. (i.e., R2C2 = Row 2 Column 2).

FINAL COORDINATES ARE AT: N30 26.ABC W086 35.XYZ

A = R5C2 – R2C4
B = R9C1 + R7C7 – R11C3
C = R3C5 – R6C7 + R11C7
X = R2C3 + R7C5
Y = R10C1 + R6C2 – R10C3
Z = R4C5 – R7C5 – R3C6
