Dies ist eine kleine Runde durch Zehlendorf.

Wissenswertes vor dem Beginn:

Die Runde ist etwa 1km lang. Sie ist Rollstuhl und Kinderwagen gerecht, wird dann aber circa 250m länger. (Siehe Additional Waypoints "Treppenlos 1-3" für den Weg zu Stage 2.)

Sollten beim Berechnen der Koordinaten ein- oder zweistellige Zahlen raus kommen, wird davor einfach mit Nullen aufgefüllt. (Beispiel: berechnet wurde 15, eingetragen wird 015.)

Der Cache ist rund um die Uhr geöffnet. Ich weiß aber nicht, wie die Anwohner nachts auf Taschenlampen etc. reagieren. Also vielleicht bei Tageslicht machen.

Alles klar? Dann kann es ja losgehen.

Der Cache

Alles beginnt am S-Bahnhof Sundgauer Str. Ihr steht vor dem Eingang und könnt nun sehen, dass der Name der Station in einer etwas älteren Schrift geschrieben wurde. Dabei ähnelt das S nicht nur einem S sondern auch einem anderen Großbuchstaben.

A = Position dieses Buchstabens im Alphabet.

Weiter geht es mit Stage 2 bei N52° 26.(10*A-2), E13° 16.(10*A+18).

Was? Ihr wollt keine Treppen? Na dann einfach den drei Additional Waypoints folgen.

Bei Stage 2 findet Ihr folgendes Schild:

Mit B könnt Ihr Stage 3 bestimmen: N52° 26.BB6, E13° 16.08B

Auf dem Weg dahin lauft Ihr durch den ersten Namensgeber des Caches: den Vopeliuspfad.

Dort kommt Ihr an einer Menge hübscher Fassaden vorbei. Vier Häuser davon sollten Euch besonders interessieren. Deren Hausnummern sind die ersten vier Hinweise für den Final. Schaut Euch aber auch ruhig die anderen Häuser an. Die Straße ist schließlich recht nett.

Der Engel ist leider ausgeflogen. Ich fand ihn aber zu witzig, um ihn herauszunehmen. Bei StreetView und Verwandten ist er aber noch zu bestaunen. Zum Lösen: D befindet sich rechts von C.

Mit etwas Glück findet Ihr hier auch den zweiten Namensgeber des Caches: einen gut erhaltenden Karmann Ghia. (Siehe Foto, Näheres zum Auto siehe Wikipedia.)

Aus dem Vopeliuspfad kommt Ihr auf die Berliner Str. Gerade vor Euch könnt Ihr eine Bäckerei sehen. Gleich links neben den Bäcker beginnt ein Zaun.

Wieviele Kreise hat der obere Teil des ersten Segments? (G)

Endlich bei Stage 3? Hier findet sich am Boden ein Relikt aus vergangenen Tagen. Zum Glück hat der Hersteller seinen Namen hinterlassen. Wie viele Buchstaben hat der Name?

Der Final findet sich nun bei: N52° 26.(C*D+E+3), E13° 16.(2*H*H-(F*G))

Wenn Ihr kurz von Euren Geräten aufschauen könnt, zeigt Euch eine Nette Dame mit ihrem Kind auf der anderen Straßenseite den schnellsten Weg zum Final.

This is a small trip through Zehledorf.

Some tips in the beginning:

The way is approximately 1km (0.6 mi) long and can be used with strollers and wheelchairs. But then you have an extra distance of 250m (270 yards). For that see additional waypoints Treppenlos 1-3.

If one of your calculations does not have three digits just add leading zeros. (Example: You calculated 15 but use 015.)

The cache is open 24/7 but I don’t know how the folks living around react to flashlights and such. So just use daylight.

The cache

We start at the train station Sudgauer Str. Standing in front of the entrance you can see that the name of the station was written in an older font. The starting S looks almost like another letter. With one is it?

A = Position of that letter in the alphabet.

Now to stage 2: 52° 26.(10*A-2), E13° 16.(10*A+18)

If you don’t want to use the stairs use the three additional waypoints instead.

At stage 2 you find the following sign:

With B you find stage 3: N52° 26.BB6, E13° 16.08B.

On your way there you pass one of the two godmothers of this cache: the Vopeliuspfad.

You’ll find nice houses in that street. Some of them are very interesting. Write down the house numbers for the final.

Unfotunatly the angel flew away and left you without a hint. But in remembrance of him, I left the image. His wisdom was: D is on C's right side.

If you are lucky you’ll also find the other godmother: An old Karmann Ghia in pretty good shape (see picture, more information see Wikipedia).

Leaving the Vopeliuspfad you will now be on the Berliner Str. Right in front of you is a bakery. On it's left side you'll find a fence.

How many circles are in the upper part of the first segment? (G)

At stage 3 at last. On the floor you’ll find a relic from history. The entrance to an air raid shelter. (The German word “Luftschutz” means “air protection” so protection from air raids.) You will also find the name of the producer. How many letter does the name have?

On the other side of the street you can see a nice lady with her kid. They will show you the fastest way to the final.
