Whilst at Brimstage, I went for a walk around the area and came across a bridleway which I’ve explored before whilst caching; but this time it was different to how I remember it.
At the start of the track there used to be an old cast-iron sign stating “Public Footpath to Thornton Hough”. Now, just in front of it is an ugly recycled plastic sign saying “Public Bridleway”. I much prefer the old signs, and there was nothing wrong with the old one that could not be sorted by a bit of Black and White paint!

The cache is a couple of hundred yards walk down this bridleway. Initially, it contained the usual swaps, a micro-geocoin and an FTF pin. After finding the cache, you can continue and make this into a circular walk to Brimstage, passing a couple of other caches on the way.
Do remember to take a look at the two signs at the end of the bridleway – do you prefer something old, or for you, is it something new? (and before anyone asks, no, I was not planning a micro at the top of the cast iron signpost – that clip is nothing to do with me!)
