The cache is down the track and just before the steep part of the track.
The cache is at the Waianakarua Scenic Reserve, turn up Mt Misery Rd off SH1, and it is about a 6km drive to the car park.
The road is narrow and gravel, watch out for other car's and logging trucks. about 2km in you will come to a sign saying no entry without a permit!! that's just for the pine forest, the road is public for about 8km.
Park at E45.15.731 E170.43.985, the entrance to the car park can be rough at time, but you can park on the road side.
The cache is a 500ml container, the GPS will be patchy with the trees, but the clue should be good.
