Northwest River Park is located on Indian Creek Road; about 3
1/2 miles east of Battlefield Blvd. in the southeastern section of
the city. It was developed as a natural recreation area
incorporating camping, an extensive trail system, picnic shelters,
play areas, an equestrian area for horse owners, fishing, miniature
golf, the Marjorie Rein Memorial Walkway, and plenty of open areas.
Boats and canoes are available for rental in the camp store. A
fragrance garden, for the visually impaired, and a classroom
building are located at the north end. The lake stretches almost
the the southern activity area which is on the banks of the
Northwest River.

see if it holds coordinates for a cache container hidden nearby
that is yours to keep. Not all eggs are winners, but take a chance,
and have some fun!
Cache Toss – with DMB4Life - See how far you
can throw an ammo can. Sounds easy, right? Not if it's full! Stop
by at your own pace between 1:00pm and 3:00pm to try this out!
Separate contests for children and adults
Kids mini-golf tournament – 1:30pm - Kids 12
and under – grab a parent, and make your way to the mini-golf
course near the ranger station at the park! Let’s have a GOLF
Tournament! Lots of prizes will be given out, so don’t miss
this fun event! Sign up with Rainbow.Weaver and CraZy Cache!
Bugs and Coins:
There will be a TB exchange area, so round 'em up, and trade 'em
out. Please make sure the TB has a destination/goal listed so it
can be picked up by someone who can help it.
How can you help? Here are a few
suggestions:
- Bring a potluck dish to share
- Donating drinks (water, sodas, sports
drinks, etc...)
- Donate a door prize or auction item -
anything geocaching or outdoor related
