STILL ANOTHER BETSIE RIVER ACCESS
Originating at Green Lake near Interlochen, Michigan, the Betsie River flows through Grand Traverse, Benzie and Manistee Counties. The name came from the French Riviere Aux Bec Scies, the river of the sawbill ducks. The Betsie forms the Betsie Lake before flowing into Lake Michigan between Elberta and Frankfort. The Betsie River is enjoyed by outdoor enthusiasts for the canoeing, fishing for salmon, bikers and hikers along the Bike Path.
