Geocache Description:

This is a small cammo covered snap lid container which can hold a couple of geocoins or smaller travel bugs and such. Bring your own pen/pencil.

There is a small section of trail north of Old Hwy 18 that is quite unique and worth exploring. The terrain is surprisingly extreme in places and there are some beautiful oaks and glacial erratics. It's really quite beautiful despite the noise of adjacent super highway 10 or when a train rumbles by. While exploring the area I discovered that it used to be an xc ski trail and I'm trying to imagine myself going down some of the hills there. Whoo-hoo!

Not to worry though. If you aren't much for hills, this cache is possible to get to without experiencing the biggest hills.

The cache is well hidden if I don't say so myself, but nothing too crazy. Don't feel dejected if you resort to the hint.

If you know any history about this little piece of land between Old Hwy 18 and the railroad track I'd love to hear about it when you log your find. I'm especially interested in hearing stories from anyone that xc skied here.
