Pass the Pipe Traditional Cache
lightningstar: Well went to check it out tonight and yes they are doing revegetation on both sides of the trail, which really means they are closing down the trail. Pull the cache out.

The week of 5-20-12 a Simi Man did a "an unfortunate train/pedestrian incident".
all the train workers are a little touchy on the crossings right now. You can get to this by going up Lower Stagecoach in the back of Corrigainville, up to the tunnel, south down into the canyon, when you cross the creek turn right instead of left to the cache. Then return the same way.
In the late 1800's and early 1900's when digging the tunnel they ran into a spring half way through. The pumps have wornout. Last year they dug out the hillside outside the tunnel, dug a 40' hole and installed three new pumps. Covered the whole mess up, the pipes you see are the vents from the pumps.
They started a "revegetation" of that area, so please use the alternate route above. Thanks.
This is the Start/End of the other of the two stagecoach roads in/out of Simi Valley. This is on the other side of the railroad tunnel build in the early 1900's. Also the longest of the railroad tunnels in California. The water company was over here for the last few months putting in a new pumping station and are all done now.
Go through corriganville to the Cache Rotary, make a right when you get to the fence by the tracks look careful there is a walkway, head arcoss and follow GPS to trail.
