Absinthe Traditional Cache
GeothermalPowell: This is clearly not an appropriate place to put a cache, and I don't really have the time to maintain it in its current state. Maybe someone else will have more luck.

An artist's tribute to the Green Fairy
One of the most famous liqueurs ever produced - and also one of the most infamous - absinthe has long been favored by artists and poets, in part because of the aesthetics surrounding the beverage and in part due to its key ingredient.
Artemisia absinthium, AKA wormwood, has numerous therapeutic uses, but its importance to absinthe has to do with a particular chemical which counteracts some of the effects of alcohol. This reaction leads to a sort of "lucid drunkenness", in which the consumer experiences the euphoria of being drunk without losing control of his or her mental faculties.
Wormwood is also thought to have hallucinogenic properties, which may be the source of the "Green Fairy" mythos.
***
Cache has been replaced yet again, but hopefully it'll stay put this time. It's close enough to the original location that updated coords shouldn't be needed, but you might want to check the hint again.
