The last of what was once here. Please be careful when parking on the side of the road, make sure you are fully off the road on the north side. The best time to do this cache is when you are travelling WEST towards the ski hill. It is UNSAFE to approach the parking travelling east from the ski hill.
Years ago this was the place to be to see the wild life. There was an abundance of bears and cubs digging all through the garbage. The town of Salmo never had a problem with bears in town because they had plenty to eat right here. You could drop garbage off at anytime of the day or night and if you didn't bother the bears they didn't bother you.
