Bobbers Mill Level Crossing Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

pinkpigredrat: The 1930's signal box mentioned in the cache description was entirely removed shortly after I placed the cache.

Along with the fact that most local catchers have found this one and the fact I no longer live in the area. . ..

. . . . after nearly 4 years and 132 finds, I think my first geocache hide has met its end! Thanks to everyone who has visited!

Geocache Description:

The cache is placed where the Bobbers Mill Level Crossing used to be. The nearby Bobbers Mill Bridge was opened in the 1930's and the level crossing was removed in the 1960's. The old signal box (now very derelict) is in sight of the cache.

An easy and accessible cache suitable for all ages and abilities. Parking is available within a few meters of the cache, a number of busses also run along the main part of Alfreton Road.

=== YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GO ONTO RAILWAY PROPERTY TO RETRIEVE THE CACHE. ===

The cache itself is a 35mm film canister with magnet attached. Log and small pencil included. The site can be seen from a number of differenrt angles and from the pedestrian bridge so be discreet when retrieving and replacing.

Cache is available 24/7 although going alone at night may not be advisable, it’s not the most glamorous location!

***** Well done to Rob of the 'Two Anchors' for being the first to find! *****
