The Vermont Youth Conservation Corps has been hard at work here for
several years restoring The Monitor Barn. Now they have opened two
trail systems for our enjoyment. The Vermont Youth Conservation
Corps (VYCC) programs, employ over 300 young people to work on
high-priority conservation and education projects across the state
of Vermont each year.
Depending on the time of year you may be able to drive a lot closer
to the trailhead. The terrain rating may be a bit higher if you
need to park near the road. Near and far parking coords are listed
below.
Stay on the main trail until you get to these coordinates: 44'24.305 72'57.579. You will see a small secondary trail to your right. Do not try to bushwhack straight from the "VYCC Old Sugar Shack" cache.
