Geocache Description:

This tree has passed the first test to being a champion, it is within five points of the two champions. The Forestry Commission has to remeasure the champions to see if they have grown bigger.

Champion Trees are the biggest, tallest and best example of a tree in a state and the nation. It takes into account the circumference, the crown spread and height using a formula and getting a bigness index. This one is located on a farm. The farmer has given permission to place the cache. The cache is big ammo can filled with DVDs. One DVD per family please. Please exchange something for them. Please keep it hidden well. Its circumference is 287", height is 115', crown spread is 103', bigness index is 428. The national champion is in Ohio, its circumference is 370", height is 136', crown spread is 135', bigness index is 577.
