Cache situado en el cerro Castillejo, vértice geodésico del mismo nombre, uno de los de mayor cota de toda la Sierra de Mijas.
El cerro de Castillejo, es uno de los de mayor altura de la Sierra de Mijas( 972 msnm), algo más elevado incluso que su vecino Cerro del Moro(antenas). Desde él podrás tener unas impresionantes vistas de toda la sierra, incluidas las de Gibraltar y los días claros, la costa africana. Por descontado que también de Sierra Nevada, allá al ENE.
En su lugar se ubica el vértice geodésico del mismo nombre así como el curioso tallado de una mano derecha en una piedra próxima.
Aunque puede efectuarse la aproximación al lugar tomando la carretera asfaltada que conduce a las antenas antes mencionadas, este cache adquiere su verdadera dimensión para los geocachers montañeros, efectuando la subida por cualquiera de los Senderos de PR que se publican en (visit link) que circundan gran parte de esta zona de la sierra.
El caché, un taper de plástico tamaño medio, conteniendo log y algunos regalillos, está oculto al pié de unas rocas. Hay que buscar concienzudamente y no obsesionarse sobre el mismo lugar, teniendo cuidado en no dar un resbalón y caer.

Cache is located on the hill Castillejo, trig the same name, one of the longest dimension across the Sierra de Mijas.
The Cerro de Castillejo, is one of the highest of the Sierra de Mijas (972 meters), slightly higher even than his neighbor Cerro del Moro (antennas). From here you can have stunning views of the mountains, including Gibraltar and on clear days, the African coast. Of course also the Sierra Nevada, back to the ENE.

The cache, a medium sized plastic taper, containing log and some fiddle, is hidden at the foot of some rocks. We have to look carefully and do not obsess over the same spot, taking care not to slip and fall.
