Inning #9: “Bull Durham” is the last in a series of caches to be released this Spring. Each week one cache was released each Saturday somewhere along the highway 78 corridor, in or between Oceanside and Escondido. Each week the FTF for that particular cache was awarded a home run (4 bases), the 2nd to find a triple (3 bases), the 3rd to find a double (2 bases) and the 4th to find a single (1 base). Bases accumulated and in the end Condor Man had the most and today is crowned the World Series Champion 2011. What did he win? My admiration in addition to one of four cool prizes donated by UltraStar Cinemas I decided to dole out.

This season The Commissioner honors the greatest baseball films. Inning #9 is in honor of The Commissioner’s favorite baseball film, the 1988 release "Bull Durham".

From IMDB:

Veteran minor-league catcher Crash Davis is assigned to the Class A Durham Bulls to handle the team's star rookie, wild pitcher "Nuke" LaLoosh. Team groupie Annie Savoy romances both players, creating a comic triangle.
