Geocache Description:

1 gallon container wrapped in duct-tape. Terrain not difficult but footing may get slippery if wet.

The complex was well on it's way in '07 when the saga of the walking path began. Not long after the path was started, the city of Goshen annexed the complex. During this process, city inspectors came out regularly to do their thing, when they noticed a footprint in the protected wetland area that the path was to surround. This single print, caused much uproar and difficulty in the construction of a simple path that was being made for the enjoyment of the complex staff and neighboring retirement community.
The DNR was immediately called in. To begin with, the drainage was inappropriate and had to be redone. Next the bright orange conservation barrier fence wasn't placed correctly, and it seemed like daily the men were out adjusting it here and there.
We would witness many officials out and about with cameras on a weekly basis taking pics, along with many mini-meetings alongside the wetlands with the contractor, DNR and other officials.
To top things off, during all the construction and large equipment being used, our foundation was cracked and had to be repaired.
So upon being completed in spring of 2010, we have proclaimed this as 'The Million Dollar Walking Path"
So as you search for a silver ductaped container, please walk the path and enjoy the wildlife that is in abundance.
As I work I look out over the path wildlife and cache site. So smile, I may be watching you!!
