Geocache Description:

The year was 1967. The big screen was ablaze with “The Dirty Dozen”. It was really 3 movies in one. The first movie was the humor of training. This was attached to “The Test” with tape. Finally, “The Mission” was added to make a full length feature film. This movie was MGM’s biggest money maker of the year. This series of 12 caches remembers many of the actors from the film.

Pedro Jiminez was played by Trini Lopez. Originally, Jiminez was suppose to be be the guy who dropped the gernades in the air ducts (the Jimmy Brown scene) and survive the attack. The problem was Frank Sinatra. Say what? Frank was even in the movie. Due to the length of the filming schedule, Frank advised Trini to quit and get back to his singing career. That is why Trini ended up dead during the initial parachute jump into Germany. They just wrote him out of the movie. The best results was that we, once again, got to see Jimmy Brown run with a vengence.

If you have to go from Mt. Pleasant to Talco or vise versa, why not take the back road and pick up a few smileys. All of the caches are along Greenhill Road. A cammoed pill bottle will be your reward. You will need to bring a pen to sign the log.
