How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
This cache is in Awsworth. Located very close to the road to the north of Awsworth.
Parking is available at a nearby public house know as the Sweetshop because of its excellent choice of Real ales (The Gate) for a quick cache and dash. The cache is small in size, so you will need a pen or pencil to sign the log. It is magnetic, but not your normal nano!!! PLEASE make sure it is attached to metal when replacing!!! (it has been found on the ground) Thanks.
***Please do not park in the pub carpark if you are going on a long walk Thanks***
*** The steps up to the cache are quite steep and uneven, but if you come at it from the other direction to path is flat ***
ABC stands for Awsworth, Babbington & Cossall and I have created an ABC group of 14 caches (11 in Awsworth & 3 in Cossall) of varying sizes to show everyone the beauty of our area.
If you are doing the whole series, i would start with ABC - The Rec (GC418CT) for Parking,
then ABC – Crossroads3 (GC4T740),
then ABC - Walk This Way (GC2NXTR),
then ABC - 6 of the Best (GC4YNG6),
then ABC - Rock On Tommy (GC2NXTG),
then ABC - Good Sign (GC4YB4C),
then ABC - Windy Winston (GC51EEQ),
then ABC - Tulip (GC4YNMF),
then ABC - Under The Boardwalk (GC2NXR9),
then ABC - Ivy (GC4YNHZ),
then ABC - Shilo Way (GC4YNNA),
then ABC - Sweetshop (GC2X08W),
then ABC - Once Upon a Gate (GC4YNKG)
and finishing off with ABC - Branching Out (GC4180A).
You could include GC24Q4F by Madforit, GCM09N & GCTVPY by O2J and GC19HWQ by Uncle Mouldy to make a bigger walk around all 3 villages.
PLEASE PLEASE put the cache back in exactly the same place as you found it. The area is quite often populated with young muggles and i do not want this cache to go walkabouts, Thank you !!!
Happy Caching !!!
