This cache is located at a local factory in Horsham
This Factory has cornered something of its own niche employment market, by offering one of the few opportunities for people with disabilities to work in a rural area.
The employees don’t need to work for their disability allowances, but want the experience.
The very concept of a "wool factory" was slightly odd when this operation opened its doors in 1983.
In Australia, shedded sheep were mostly still regarded as a novelty – smug, snug turncoats, at least, to their windblown cousins.
In 1990, Country Wide paid a visit. By this time, what had begun as a marginal activity for people with disabilities was competing at the elite end of a prestigious niche market.
Rarely had anyone delivered wool so fine, so consistently.
It was among the first operations in Australia designed to protect sheep from the cold and rain, in order to produce some of our finest strands.
The factory is open Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
Tours are available if you have the time to take a look.
Tour Times: 10:15am & 11:00am
1:30pm & 2:30pm
You do not have to enter this factory to find this cache. You are looking for a small container which contains log book, pen and small swaps.
