Geocache Description:

This cache is along the road to the Middle Fork Lytle Creek hike. There is a pull-off here with good parking space where people apparently camp at times. The elevation is 3,594 feet. GZ is a very short walk from the camping area to clear the people debris zone a bit.

The cache container is a small, square piece of plasticware nestled near a yucca past its prime. The quantity of yuccas blooming in this canyon at the time we placed our three caches was spectacular. There are more than 40 species of yucca. Native Americans used these multipurpose plants for food, medications, floss/rope, etc. Enjoy the beauty of the natural flora and scenic river canyon.
