Geocache Description:

This trail follows the old Railway Line from Rosegrove Station through to Shuttleworth Mead link road The line started at Rosegrove and soon branched off towards Padiham.

This part of the route at the moment is not surfaced and possible not suitable for wheelchair access The first part of the route is along a road which feeds a few houses. Most of the trail is tarmac path, the last few after Memorial park at Padiham, are on rough stone track at this moment This section of the railway was opened around 1876 for passengers and was closed to passengers around 1963. Now forms part of the Padiham Greenway
