Geocache Description:

This cache is in a large tobacco can painted grey. It contains a logbook, pencil and trading items.

Church - The Tancook Island Baptist Church was organized in 1855. The original building stood on the same spot as today's building. Rev. S. W. Deblois was the first Pastor. He was from Chester. A coal furnace was installed in November 1927 and the first oil furnace in 1966.
Many pastors came and went since that time.
Today there is no pastor on the island. The church, however, is still used for the occasional service, funerals and weddings.

There was also a Pentecostal church on the Southern part of the island.

Congrats to Majomik & Gee+Gee on FTF!
