This cache was placed as part of the original Athens County Geotrail (traditional portion). The incentive is gone, but the cache is still available for finding/logging. Thank you for supporting Athens County geocaches.

About This Location

Amesville is another of southeastern Ohio's historic towns. The area across the street was subject to frequent flooding. In 1999, with matching Federal Emergency Management Agency and Ohio Emergency Management Agency grants, 21 structures were acquired and demolished to create the existing park. The nearby Amesville Mural depicts events in this town's history.
