700 Feet Above MSL Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ex135nav: When I last checked on this container it was easily visible and not hidden away out of view. Since glenn1312 has sufficient experience to have seen it and since the temperatures are such that I cannot get out there to check it, I am archiving this cache. I will get out there to confirm that it is missing or to remove any geotrash when the weather is cooler. But if someone else looks and finds it feel free to log a find and please remove the container so that it doesn't become geotrash. In your log, please state that it has been removed.

Geocache Description:

When I placed this cache the lake level was at 693.74 and I estimate that this cache was 6 feet above the current lake level. Hence the name, the cache is 700 feet above mean sea level.

It may be helpful to check the lake level at the following link:

(visit link)

then you will know how high above the water you should look.

The container was left by G-O-Gals in "Not From AstroDav's 100th" geocache. I couldn't resist grabbing it and placing another cache in the area. The container is a camouflaged watertight match container.

If you approach from the land there are markings painted on the road that indicate "KEEP OUT" and "Pirate Cove". These are not professional markings. I believe these were done by kids. I did not let it keep me from placing the cache. Let me know if you encounter any problems.
