Pharaoh's Revenge Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

K Trackers: While on a maintenance run today, I came to check on this cache. Construction in the area is forcing a reassessment of most of my caches. Despite the previous find a few days ago, I was unable to find the container. Construction gearing up indicates it is prudent to go ahead a archive this one instead of replacing. I do not want something to happen to the container and have cachers searching for something destroyed by a construction crew as happened to a few of my older caches.

Thanks to all who found this cache, left nice log entries, and gave it a highly coveted favorite point; I appreciate all of it.

Geocache Description:

The story of Moses and the Exodus is well known. Moses parted the Red Sea and led the Israelites across to escape the Egyptian Army. As the Pharaoh tried to follow, the returning water drowned his army.

What many don't know is that modern historians think that the Red Sea was actually the Reed Sea, a much smaller river / lake (filled with reeds) in Egypt at that time.

Still fewer know that the Egyptians were drown because the Pharaoh ordered them to stop in the riverbed and look for a geocache! Since GPS wouldn't be invented for another few thousand years, the Egyptian army was still looking in the riverbed when the water returned.

Now is your chance to succed where the Pharaoh failed. However, don't try to be too historically accurate. You don't have to go walking thru the reeds to find the cache. The cache is not in a location that will require you to disturb the ecosystem. There are no tresspassing signs to prevent unauthorized motor vehicles from moving north along the dirt road. If you park on Wolf Center Drive and walk to the cache, you will not be trespassing.

Congratulations to titocache for FTF.

Will you find the cache or fall victom to the Pharaoh's revenge?
