Not too many people know about all the secret stairs around La Mesa. What better way to help people find these stairs then with a few caches! Watch your step and enjoy the views!
This set of stairs can be accessed from a couple places. The base is at Fairview Ave and Alta Lane. You can also get to the cache from Pasadena Ave or Vista Dr. There are several other stairs (and a couple of other caches) up in these hills- see how many you can find!
Please watch for muggles and be quick.
The City of La Mesa has several sets of public stairways in the Mt. Nebo/Windsor Hills area. These stairways were installed many years ago to facilitate foot traffic through the adjacent neighborhoods. La Mesa is one of the few areas in San Diego County that have a system of public stairways. Today, people delight in the discovery of the stairways and take pleasure in facing the challenge of navigating the steep ascents.
