Geocache Description:

Paved parking, should be very easy - night or day. $1.00 scratch off for FTF

My bride has lived in Baytown all her life, and when I told her of this old Baytown Airport, I had to produce the image of the area shown for her to believe me.
The reason I know of it, is because back in the 60's my father purchased a 1946 Taylorcraft BC-12D from a fellow that kept the plane here. He and my older brother spent, I guess, the better part of a year or so rebuilding that plane, and sparked my lifelong interest in flying (along with the later convenience of employment with an avid aviator also)
The Airplane Runway Series of Caches is generated from my personal interest in airplane runways and my 1st job of flagging for “crop dusters” and flying in general.
