Geocache Description:

Time for another cache, sited on a relatively new walkway in Stuart Park, which takes you along the beach and then climbs 30 metres up to and along a plateau with million dollar views. We were very surprised to see that this walkway hadn’t been cachified, so we have taken the time to do it ourselves.

The views have left Titahi Bay and are out to sea now, the open ocean lies ahead, with a sunset over Mana Island if you timed your trip correctly. This cache marks the end of the trail, the sealed road leads you back up to streets and if you follow it down, you are taken to the coast, at low tide it is possible to walk back along the coast.

Description & Access

This cache can be accessed from the parking co-ordinates we have provided. Begin here and walk up and along the mud 4WD track until you reach McArthur Park. If the track is covered in surface water, walking along the beach and then up to the park is also an option. The whole track isn’t very long and could be done in 20 minutes. Follow the track upwards and along the graded path until you reach the co-ordinates. While searching, be aware you are on a blind corner and muggles may come out of nowhere, so use a bit of stealth.

The cache is a 1.2 litre Sistema. Time to turn around! (Or perhaps continue to walk along the coast… Is Green Point accessible from here?).
