A good walk up the hill. Be sure to wear good footwear, hat and take water.
This village was emptied at a time of unrest between Turkey and Greece. The inhabitants were thrown out of Turkey in an exchange of Nationals. The exchange was not without bloodshed and the village remains an empty reminder of the emptiness of human intolerance. Nature has reclaimed the village and it is one of the most eerie and beautiful, full of flora and fauna places I have ever seen. The view is astounding from the cache.
