Geocache Description:

Small lock-n-lock that’s accessible only by boat in the summer and by foot after the lake freezes over in the winter. At this time there are no places to rent boats on the lake.

This lake is a favorite hangout for CurlyNN and spider16, the placers of this cache. You should beware of holiday weekends as the lake is very busy and it is best to go for it earlier in the morning or later in the day. Larger boats may not be able to approach this location due to water depth and personal water crafts are recommended. While hunting for this cache you should take a moment to look for the different kinds of bird wildlife and great view. It is in a very safe location and people hangout here all the time so you will see signs of activity on the island (including a great swinging rope) but because of the varied bird life in the area we suggest you avoid looking for this cache during duck hunting season. Please, as always, please do not go onto any private property while looking for this cache there are many public places where you can access the lake. This is the first cache placed for both of us so please let us know if you have any suggestions or if our coordinates are off. There is a $15.00 iTunes gift card for the first to find and we have also placed a travel bug for you to move on in the cache.

Congrats to seekers8711 on the FTF!
