Il villaggio di Pradolino
Il villaggio estivo di Pradolino ha avuto origine nel XVIII secolo; era formato da una decina di casoni con muri in pietra squadrata e con il tetto di paglia abitati, alla fine del XIX secolo, da tre famiglie di Goregnevas che qui si stabilivano da aprile a giugno quando si trasferivano, assieme ad altri abitanti di queste valli, sui pascoli alti del Monte Mia fino a settembre per ritornare poi a Pradolino ove rimanevano sino alla fine di novembre.
L'uso di questo e degli altri villaggi estivi di questi monti cessò rapidamente in seguito alla decisione - alla fine dell'800 - di abbandonare la "proprietà indivisa" e quindi in pratica con il venir meno della possibilità di libero utilizzo di questo territorio da parte degli abitanti dell'allora comune di Tarcetta. Per dare un'idea dell'importanza economica di questi villaggi estivi basti pensare che quelli della Valle di Pradolino erano abitati, nei mesi di utilizzo, da circa 150 persone con oltre 1500 capi di bestiame.

The village of Pradolino
The summer village of Pradolino originated in the eighteenth century consisted of a dozen huts with squared stone walls and thatched roof. In the late nineteenth century three families of Goregnevas settled here from April to June when they moved, along with other inhabitants of these valleys, to the higher pastures of the Monte Mia until September, to return then to Pradolino where remained until the end of November.
The use of this and other summer villages of these mountains ceased rapidly after the decision - in the late 1800 - to abandon the "joint ownership" and then in practice with the loss of the possibility of free use of this land by the inhabitants of the then municipality of Tarcetta. To give an idea of the economic importance of these summer villages just think that Pradolino Valley during the months of use were inhabited by about 150 people and over 1500 head of cattle.
