After finding No.5, follow the pleasant path up through the wood, alongside the beck, until you reach a stile out onto the fell. There is a small herd of cows sometimes roaming the fell, helping to maintain the ecology.
There is a lot of tussocky bog due south, over the col to the reservoir. Our route heads across the beck and up onto dry fell and this cache. The wall shown on the map is tumbled down and there are several gaps to cross it, including the small pathlet shown. The cache site is a fine view point to watch the sail boats on the lake and the panorama of the hills.
