I got some of the old gang (JoenSue and Melcrim) back to do the "Wild and Scenic Maurice River" run again. Kind of a re-union!
Union Lake is southern New Jersey's largest freshwater body of water. A large boat ramp is located at the far end of the parking lot and there is parking for vehicles and trailers. The lake is 898 acres, with an average depth of 9 feet, with a maximum depth of 27 feet. It offers a variety of viewing experiences to naturalists of all levels. I'm told there is a Bald Eagle nest on the lake and I have often seen Osprey fishing for a meal. This is a real birders and fishermen's paradise! Hope you enjoy.
