Geocache Description:


DNRT (Dartmouth Natural Resource Trust) is celebrating 40 years (1971-2011) of land conservation and preservation. The reserves and properties in Dartmouth contain approximately 1,530 acres, over 40 miles of walking trails, and well over 50 geocaches! As a tribute, and to thank them, for providing all of us with such great areas, I have created this 40th Anniversary Challenge Cache!

The “CHALLENGE” is to find and “physically” log a total of 40 geocaches hidden on DNRT OWNED OR MAINTAINED properties. This challenge also includes geocaches hidden on TOWN OF DARTMOUTH OWNED properties. The list of properties owned by DNRT can be found here on their website:

*This challenge does NOT include STATE owned, or TTOR owned properties!

*ONLY caches hidden on DNRT or DARTMOUTH TOWN OWNED will COUNT! Caches that have already been found on these listed reserves/properties can count.
Unfortunately, ARCHIVED caches cannot count, as they cannot be verified.

**WHEN YOU HAVE COMPLETED 40 OF THESE CACHES, POST A NOTE TO THIS CACHE PAGE INDICATING YOUR COMPLETION AND SATISFY ONE OF THE VERIFICATION OPTIONS LISTED HERE:

VERIFICATION OPTIONS:

OPTION ONE:
If you are a premium member, create a PUBLIC BOOKMARK list of all qualifying caches, which includes your CACHING NAME in the title. It must also include the GC#, NAME OF THE CACHE, and the COMPLETE DATE on which you found the cache.

OPTION TWO:
If you are NOT a premium member, in your "WRITE NOTE"/”FOUND IT” log, please include the GC#, NAME OF THE CACHE, and COMPLETE DATE on which you found the cache.

**ONCE VERIFICATION IS COMPLETE, I WILL E-MAIL YOU BACK OR POST A NOTE GIVING YOU THE OK TO FIND AND LOG THE CACHE.

NOTE: **Generally accepted rules, guidelines, and conditions for logging a cache find apply. You must have personally (physically) found and logged BOTH at the cache log and online.

**Geocachers who successfully complete the 40 cache challenge will receive a DNRT 40th Anniversary Commemorative Path Tag Medallion (ONE per geocaching account). These medallions will be available to be picked up at DNRT headquarters AFTER Cache Owner has VERIFIED completion of the challenge caches.

*Medallions will only be awarded through December 31, 2011 during this anniversary year.

*DNRT's office is open M-F, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (coordinates listed above will take you to DNRT Headquarters)

**Please plan accordingly to find and log this cache, and pick up your medallion, once your challenge is verified. IF it is a problem for you to pick up your Pathtag Medallion once you have successfully completed and logged the challenge, e-mail me, and we will work something out.

While you may have others with you when you find the final challenge cache, only those who have fulfilled the challenge requirements will be allowed to log it as a find and receive their medallion.

This is a “Challenge Cache”, failure to follow the listed rules WILL result in your log being deleted.

I realize some cachers will qualify for this cache immediately after it publishes, and will only need to verify the caches they have already found via the verification options.

Good Luck, enjoy, and be safe. Remember, that this is a game and supposed to be fun! Busy 4 way stop intersection, so use stealth when retrieving! Have a seat on the steps to log your find.

Cache container is small/regular lock-n-lock size, containing a log book, pencil and small trade items.

It is placed with permission on DNRT property at the headquarters on Elm Street in South Dartmouth.

**Please do NOT use excessive force when retrieving or replacing cache container!!
