SSC Blaze and I finally had a chance to head out in our "backyard" We decided that since we hiked the Metolius-Windigo Trail the Tahoe Rim Trail and the Three Sisters Loop Trail last summer that we need to get our feet/bodies in shape for another summer of hiking. Why not create some trails in the BLM area? This will not be the only "Days Hike" in the area. You will see more this summer. Be sure and check out the NEW "A Nights Hike" night caching adventure nearby. "A Days Hike" is a series of fairly easy caches that you will need to write down the word, number or digits to solve the "A Day Hike" Puzzle cache- 15 all together... This is a long hike in BLM land that traverses running trails, horse trails, atv trails and old canal trails. Elkjim registered over 11 miles doing this cache. There is some cross country traveling, about 10-15%, but for the most part you are better off to stay on designated trails, roads or paths. Good Luck and do not forget to write down the taped word, digit or number to solve the PUZZLE...

Some of you may recognize this area as I did some MBS Caches a couple years ago. Bring lots of water and plan about 4 hours plus-But you will log many caches and enjoy the views, sights, sounds and the wonder of the high desert. Check the area for other caches created by other geo-cachers before heading out and if you have never done any caches in this area you could log 25+ caches in a half day...
