Geocache Description:

Located in the old town of Cuchillo, which was a busy trade center and stage stop in the late 1800's. The town flourished between 1880 and 1930. It was named for the nearby creek (Cuchillo Negro Creek)which took its name from a local Apache chief.

The cache is located next to the old church, which was rebuilt for the 3rd time in 1907. Be sure and check out some of the other old buildings there and say hi to the sheriff that is parked at old Cuchillo Store and Bar.
