Queen's Park is a beautiful Paxton creation which offers something for everyone, from manicured lawns and bedding areas for the gardening enthusiast to peaceful naturalised walks rich in wildlife.
The park is extremely well used and is busy all year round. A great range of sport and recreational facilities can be found here along with a boating pond and smaller nature pond.
Now the details on how to find the cache,
The multicache co-ordinates will bring you to the Victoria Road Entrance to Queen’s Park. Here you will find a signpost giving you distances in meters to places of interest in Queen’s Park.
The first location you need is at, N55 49.ABC, W004 16.DEF
ABC = The number of meters to the Offices and Works Depot PLUS The number of meters to Langside Avenue Entrance.
DEF = The number of meters to the Wildlife Interpretation Area MINUS the number of meters to the Children’s Play Area.
You will find yourself at a great vantage point and have views over the city of Glasgow (if the weather is kind to you). Look for the viewpoint information point that gives you distances and information to places in the City of Glasgow.
The next location is N55 49.(G-J)GG W004 16.JH(J+H)
Where
Note the date for Glasgow University this will be 1G70
The Distance to Park Circus is 4.Hkm (J.7miles)
You will then find yourself at a place with opening and closing times.
The next location is
N55 M9.KL5 W00M 16 M00
Where
K = Friday Opening MINUS Friday Closing
L = Friday Closing
M = Normal Closing Time (Not Fridays)
Almost done, you should now be outside one of the Southsides well known watering holes. Here you will see a signpost, the next location you will need to find is:
