Geocache Description:

The McBratney Reserve was donated to DNRT in 1989 by Dr. J. Greer and Elizabeth McBratney.

The 5 acre parcel is predominantly a Red Maple swamp with considerable surface water in the southern and eastern portions. The northwestern boundary is a mixed hardwood upland forest, with a cultivated blueberry patch located at the northwest corner. In this area, the dominant over-story is made up of Oak and Pitch Pine. The short trail from Smith Neck Road leads over a small wooden bridge built by a local Eagle Scout to the blueberry patch.

Park on the west side of Smith Neck Road, 450 feet south of entrance to Nonquitt. Trailhead is 200 feet south of the pull-off, on the west side of Smith Neck Road. Trail is 500 feet one way to the blueberry patch.

Cache container is a camoed pill bottle with log only! BYOP!
