A Team Barn Owls Cache!
You are looking for a camouflaged pill container. Use caution as you park and search - the curves can hide you from oncoming cars. This was placed on the edge of private property with the owner's permission. Please respect the needs of a camp full of muggles, and do not trespass. We listed the terrain so high because the ground is steep and uneven. However, most people will find it easy enough to navigate. Remember, it's a park and grab!
Be aware that the thick tree cover tends to make your GPS bounce in this particular spot. We took multiple readings from multiple devices - our readings ranged from N 117 14.727 to N 117 14.829! Do check the hint!
“Tippy” was an actual squirrel, maimed by an attacking dog, and adopted by the staff of Thousand Pines Christian Camp & Conference Center in the early 1960s. Campers could identify Tippy by his three-legged gait and scrawny tail. Our family has been attending Thousand Pines since Ann was 5. In 1974 Mike and Ann were married in the Prayer Chapel. In 1979, 1982 and 1987 Christopher, Michael, and Nicholas respectively were dedicated to God as infants in the same prayer chapel. Nicholas was baptized in the camp swimming pool in 1996. We just had to share this beloved site by placing a cache - where the God of Love and Miracles has shown His face to thousands of youth, and healed and brought joy to our family’s spirit during even the worst and most painful of times. The scenery on this mountain is breathtaking, and the winding road that leads to Thousand Pines is a peaceful journey all on its own.
