Elephant Parade Copenhagen
June 1st - August 25th 2011In the summer of 2011, Copenhagen will
host one of the largest outdoor art exhibitions ever held in
Denmark. The exhibition is comprised of 102 unique works of art
which will be exhibited publicly in parks and streets in central
Copenhagen and Frederiksberg. It is colorful, humorous and positive
quality art, created by prominent Danish and international artists
as well as young rising stars.
At the center of the exhibition are 102 baby elephants, cast in
fiberglass. They will decorate the cityscape and contribute to the
city’s renowned atmosphere, providing another attraction for
its citizens and the over three million tourists who visit
Copenhagen every year. When the exhibition is over, the elephants
will be auctioned off by Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers, with the
proceeds going to the preservation of the Asian elephant.
The Asian Elephant:
In the last 100 years, the number of Asian elephants in existence
has fallen by 90%. Approximately 150,000 Asian elephants have died
within the past 25 years and today there are fewer than 35,000 of
these animals left in all of Asia. In Thailand there are only 4,000
elephants left, with only 1,500 living in the wild. Unless we act
now, the Asian elephant will be extinct within a few
decades.
(New info: 2 off my Elephants have gone for a walkabout so
i have found 2 new ones.)
The Cache: (This cache has a time limit and will be archived after
the 25th of August 2011)
To find the cache you will have to take a walk in i Copenhagen to
find 9 of the Elephants for clues to the the position of the Cache.
I am guestemating that this will take 2 hours ish to find all the
Elephants. The final coordinates are within 3 km of the starting
position. Most of the Elephants lie within the old city walls. I
recommend that you take a camera a long on the chase so you can
better keep track of the clues. And so you can have pictures of all
the beautiful eliphants.
1. In front of the left foot there is a plack, and i need you to
take the fourth (4) letter in the first name of the sponsor.

2. I have found a new Elephant for #2.
When you stand in front of this Elephant you will see a street name
sign be hind him, some one has but a sticker on it and on the
sticker there are 4 digits. You take the last one and multiply it
with 2.

3. When you stand in front of the Elephant, you will see to your
left, a building, in that building is a convenient store.
Take the digits associated with that store.( The elephant
has come home from his walkabout and his subtitute has is gone for
a walk.)

4. This Elephant is looking at a house, and on top of the door is a
number. Take that number and multiply it with 2
then subtract 1. ( I have made changes from
the original, the first Elephant has gone for a walkabout so i
had to find one near were the first one stood.)

5. On the right side of this superhero you will find a statue. Find
the plack and note the last digit in the year of it's placing.
(opstillet)

6. This fine Elephant is taking a rest in front of a big building,
now walk to the opposite corner of the building you will see
embedded sculpture in the wall of a man and a woman. You will see a
year, note the second digit in that year.

7. When you find this Elephant, stand by his head and find 35° and
about 15m from his head you will find a sign. On that sign are 3
columns, in the middle one, on the bottom line are 2 digit's, take
the last one.

8. This fine wine Elephant is looking at a gate, on top of the gate
is a name. Take the 5th letter. And convert it from Roman numerals,
keep the first number.

9. Behind this great Dane is a building, little to the left and up
you will see a year in Roman numerals, take the second letter. Now
convert it to numbers. But only keep the last number.

Now you have collected all the numbers and letters you need to
solve this Cache. Next you need to do a Gade
The digits you have found shall be sorted in ascending order
i.e:
If the numbers are 6, 17, 9 and 6 put the numbers like this:
16679 and fulfill the row of digits with the missing digits
16679023458 now you can assign letters:
a=1, b=6, c=6, d=7, e=9, f=0, g=2, h=3, i=4, j=5 & k=8
This was just an example.
Now you have to do the same with your numbers.
And you will find the Cache at:
55 4(B+C-F).(H-E)A(N-D)
012 3(K-J).L(I-A)(I-J)
The cahce holds only a log and has no room for any thing
else.
Will send FTF certificate Via Email if whanted.
(Note: I do not have any thing personally to do with The
Elephant Parade but wanted to make people a ware bout the Asian
Elephant and to try and help in my own way.)
