Vous les avez déjà vu survoler notre région, ces engins volants sympathiques qui s'apellent des ULM? Bien souvent ils partent de l'aérodrôme de Sterpenich, à 2 pas de la frontière belgo-luxembourgeoise. >

Have you already noticed these sympathetic flying machines, called ultralights, which are flying over our region? Very often they take off from the airfield of Sterpenich, very close to the border of Luxembourg.


U - ultra
L - léger (light)
M - motorisé (motorised)

Avec un peu de chance, vous pouvez voir décoller ou attérir d'ici plusieurs types d'ULM (pendulaires, multiaxes ou paramoteurs). Et qui sait, peut-être il y a bien un pilote sympa qui veut vous emmener à faire un tour et voir le monde en perspectif oiseau...!

Attention pour les moldus, surtout en weekend quand il fait beau (mais c'est bien sûr à ces moments-là qu'il y a beaucoup de choses à voir dans l'air aussi..)!

If you are lucky, you can observe from here several types of ultralights (trike, three axes, paraglider) taking off and landing. And who knows, maybe there is some friendly pilot that invites you for a flight into the air so you can observe the world through the eyes of a bird…!

Please, take care for muggles, especially during weekends when the weather is nice (even if that’s off course the best time to observe ultralights in the air…)!
