Geocache Description:


Kinzua Beach is found in the heart of the beautiful Allegheny National Forest (ANF). Located on Route 59, 11 miles east of Warren, PA, it is a gorgeous spot to swim, picnic, boat and enjoy the scenery. Kinzua Beach is close to other recreation offered by the National Forest, such as scenic overlooks, hiking trails, ATV trails, camping and marinas. Thus, Kinzua Beach can be used as a launching spot for more fun in the Alleghenies.

We extend a special invitation to geocachers attending the Geowoodstock event to come and enjoy our National forest. Find us at the tent below the bathhouse. Swim at the beach, picnic and meet other geocachers at this fun filled gathering. Learn about “Leave No Trace” ethics and recreation in the ANF. Have questions answered about the many caches hidden in the ANF and win door prizes!

Below is a schedule of events. Hope to see you there!

10 AM to 1PM – Swimming, picnicing and gathering at Kinzua Beach. Information on ANF geocaches available.
11:00 AM – Talk on “Leave No Trace” principles by members of the ANF Chapter of the North Country Trail Association
11:00 to 1:00 – Lunch offered by PA Kinzua Pathways organization
11:30 AM – Q & A on ANF recreation
12:30 PM – Door prizes announced, must be present to win.
