DO NOT park on the shoulder of either Shelby Road or 23-Mile Road
DO NOT park in the nearby Residential Driveways.
RECOMMENDED Parking for the Cemetery is available across 23-mile to the south where there is a larger parking lot, or where Snacks and Drinks can also be found. I have added a waypoint for the larger parking area.
BE CAREFUL CROSSING 23-MILE ROAD. THIS CAN BE VERY BUSY AT TIMES! USE THE OFFICIAL CROSSWALKS!

If you park at the Recommended parking, this will be a short-walk to a very small cemetery and a fairly-easy puzzle for beginners and those that like a nice, simple puzzle now-and-again. ;-)
Listed coordinates will take you near the sign for this cemetery, and the container is -not- on the sign.
Please replace the cache exactly as found after signing the log. Thank you.

On the North-East corner of 23-Mile & Shelby Roads sits a very small cemetery which most folks driving by may see only as an empty lot, if they even see it at all. However, this cemetery has headstones that date as early as the 1830's and as recent as 1913, so it has been here longer than most of the buildings in the surrounding neighborhood, as well as most of the people that pass-by it as well.
This small, less-than 20 headstone cemetery is bounded by two residences, and two main streets. The Ewell name is also associated with the Elementary School across Shelby Road from this location.

Ewell Cemetery is one of the 7 historic cemeteries in Shelby Township and was established on the property purchased by Peleg Ewell in 1831.
Many township pioneers and their descendants are buried here including members of the Ewell, Moore, and Cheney families.
Based on the documented gravestones, most burials took place between 1835 and 1874 but there were some after as well. Because so many headstones have gone missing or become unreadable, there are many unmarked and unknown graves in this cemetery.

One of the headstones is from the family Ewell and appears to mark a child's grave. To solve the puzzle and find the cache, you will need the some information from this marker shown here:
Mary Ann Ewell (marker)
BIRTH 26 Feb 1842 : DEATH 26 Sep 1852 (aged 10)
From this point, you will need to locate the previously shown / mentioned marker and take down all information contained on it.
Take the total years only that this individual lived, subtract this number from the west coords AFTER the decimal point.
This should lead you to a natural-camouflage spot that holds a container.

I found this to be a very unique and unusual spot and have driven past this many times without even realizing this was here.

If you have any further information on this cemetery, please email me (or add it to your log) and i will add it to the cache description.
8/8/2013 update: Apparently the marker has become so unreadable, that this was near-impossible to complete.
I've now included a photo of the better-condition marker above in order to assist you.
7/22/2019 update: reworked the page to include the needed photo again and other details.
Thank You.
