La Croce di Baldissero

La croce di Baldissero, alta 550cm, fu costruita nel 1900 per celebrare l'inizio del nuovo secolo e per rendere omaggio a Gesù Redentore.
La costruzione della stessa fu finanziata grazie alla raccolta di fondi tra le popolazioni di Cordova, Baldissero e Pavarolo (Fraz. S. Defendente ).
Con la linea S. Defendente - Bric della Croce - Superga, si forma una specie di grande croce. (ved. immagine sopra)
Nel 2000 fu organizzata una Via Crucis fino alla croce e in quest occasione fu anche installato un faro per illuminarla. Purtroppo da valle la Croce risulta difficilmente visibile in quanto coperta dal fogliame degli alberi. L'unica cosa che si nota è l'illuminazione. Per lo stesso motivo d'estate quando la vegetazione è fitta, la vista dalla croce non è delle più belle mentre d'inverno invece si può godere di un bel panorama.

Il cache è raggiungibile con una breve passeggiata di circa 10 minuti imboccando il sentiero (in salita) che parte dalla strada provinciale che collega Baldissero e Cordova. Il sentiero è segnalato tramite cartello giallo con scritta nera "sentiero Baldissero Croce".
Specificazioni riguardanti il cache: Le dimensioni generali del contenitore sono "micro" mentre l'alloggiamento del logbook e il logbook stesso sono da considerarsi "nano".
In generale non ci piacciono affatto i contenitori troppo piccoli e siamo del parere che i cache siano fatti per essere trovati e non per ricerche invano che portano alla disperazione dei geocachers. Detto questo vi chiediamo di prestare attenzione al hint e di portare una propria matita.

The cross of Baldissero, 550cm high, was built in 1900 to celebrate the beginning of the new century and to pay homage to Jesus the Redeemer. The building itself was financed through fund-raising among the population of Cordova, Baldissero and Pavarolo (Fraz S. Defendente).
On the map, the line between S. Defendente - Bric della Croce - Superga, forms a large cross. (see image above).
In 2000 was organized a Via Crucia to the Cross and on this occasion was also installed a beacon to illuminate it. Unfortunately, from the valley it's hard to see the Cross as it's covered by the foliage of trees. The only thing you notice is the illumination. For the same reason in the summer when the vegetation is dense, the view from the cross is not the most beautiful while in winter you can enjoy a beautiful view.

To reach the the cache it is only a short walk of about 10 minutes onto the trail (uphill) from the provincial road linking Baldissero and Cordova. The trail is marked by a yellow sign with black lettering "sentiero Baldissero Croce."
Specifications about the cache: The overall dimensions of the container are "micro" while the housing of the logbook and the logbook itself are considered "nano". In general we do not like when the containers are too small and we hold that caches should be placed to be found and not searched in vain leading to desperation of seeking geocachers. In this spirit we kindly ask you to pay maximum attention to the hint and to bring your own pencil.

Das Kreuz von Baldissero (550cm hoch) wurde um 1900 erbaut um das neue Jahrhundert zu begruessen und Jesus Christus den Befreier zu huldigen. Der Bau wurde durch Spenden aus den Bevoelkerungen von Cordova, Baldissero und Pavarolo (Fraz. San Defendente) finanziert. Durch die Linie S.Defendente - Bric della Croce - Superga entsteht auf der Landkarte ein Kreuz (siehe Bild).
Im Jahr 2000 wurde von der Geimeinde vor Ort eine Via Crucis (Kreuzzug) organisiert und parallel dazu Beleuchtungsscheinwerfer installiert. Leider ist das Kreuz trotzdem von Weitem kaum sichtbar weil es durch das Laub der nahestehenden Baeume verdeckt ist, und man lediglich den Lichtschweif der Beleuchtung sehen kann. Aus dem gleichen Grund ist auch die Sicht vom Kreuz aus zumindest im Sommer nicht gerade erwaehnenswert, waehrend man hingegen im Winter, wenn die Baeume kahl sind, ein schoenes Panorama betrachten kann.

Zum Cache gelangt ihr in ca 10 Minuten über den Wanderweg (bergauf) der von der Provinzstrasse, welche Baldissero und Cordova verbindet, ausgeht und durch ein gelbes Schild mit schwarzer Aufschrift "sentiero Baldissero Croce" gekennzeichnet ist.
Details zum Cache: Der Behaelter im Ganzen ist als Micro eingestuft, waehrend die Unterbringung des Logbooks und das Logbook selbst eher als Nano anzusehen waere.
Eigentlich schaetzen wir in keinster Weise zu kleine Behaelter und sind der Meinung dass Caches versteckt werden sollten um gefunden zu werden und nicht um Cacher durch erfolglose Sucherei zur Verzweiflung zu bringen. Aus diesem Grund und in Anbetracht der Tatsache, dass der Cache wirklich sehr klein ist um in freier Natur versteckt zu werden, bitten wir Euch, unbedingt den Hint zu beachten und Eure eigenen Schreibutensilien mitzubringen.
